Hooray! Another festival for the East Coast crowd!
We've just learned that REPRESENT has been selected for the Baltimore Next Media Web Fest! The screenings are taking place at the end of the month over Halloween weekend! We'll update you with more details, but in the meantime, take a look at their website to see the other selections!
BREAKING NEWS: We're awesome. 😎
Our friends at New Jersey Web Fest have been so, so good to us! We've been nominated for three - count 'em, THREE - awards at the upcoming festival! The categories are:
We are so mega-proud of all of these nominations, but the last one has to be our favorite. REPRESENT is first and foremost a story about female friendship, and it means so much to us that our Tess and Ellie have been nominated together! ❤️
We'll keep you posted on future updates from NJ Web Fest, via our East Coast associate/actor-who-plays-Matt/lovable goofball human-puppy Michael Ridley! THANK YOU, NEW JERSEY!!!!
Here we are again, friends! Back at it again with REPRESENT news! This time, I am thrilled to announce three major awesome things that our little web series gets to do!
First, we will, for the first time EVER, be screening internationally! That's right, Seoul Web Fest selected REPRESENT and will be screening episode 9, "Spilling the Tea." Around here (aka my apartment/friend circle), it's widely known as the Percy episode, because it features Connor Tracy as Percy -- arguably the funniest part of the whole series and definitely a fan favorite (see below for the fierceness)! We can't be in Korea for it, but we are so, so pumped that we will be there in spirit!
Secondly, we've been nominated for another award!! The amazing folks at Oregon Cinema Arts Film Festival will be screening our sixth episode, affectionately titled "The Patriarchy F*cks Up Everything", on Saturday, August 10. But not only that - they have also nominated our cast for Best Ensemble! For a mama bear who is endlessly proud of her cast no matter what, this is still huge. Thank you, OCAFF!
We've been gettin' awards y'all!
Back in April, we got the news that we had been nominated for Best Writer and Best Actress (two times over - go Jackie and Emily!) at the Queen Palm International Film Festival. Now we know that we won an Honorable Mention for Best Actress - TV/Web Series and the Silver Award for Best Writing - TV/Web Series - as well as an Honorable Mention for Best Web Series overall!
What's more, last week we went to the BLASTOFF Film Festival and found out that REPRESENT was named Best Web Series! Of the WHOLE fest, guys!!
What are we gonna do next? Go to Disneyland? Actually, it's more like the New Media Film Festival in June, where we are nominated for Web Series Promo! Stay tuned, feminists!
Also, we just got the news that REPRESENT got its FIRST official film festival selection (excluding the scripts and trailer)! Episode 6, affectionately titled "The Patriarchy F*cks Up Everything," has been selected as a semi-finalist in the Los Angeles CineFest! And let me tell you, seeing our hard work being appreciated and recognized feels EVEN BETTER than we thought it would! Watch this space for more news as we submit REPRESENT to festivals!
That's right, babes! After months of work (and setbacks, and more work, and other setbacks, and Tr*mp-based depression, and eating our feelings, and getting back to work), we have the very first REPRESENT trailer! View it below, and MAJOR thanks and love to Danielle, our new fine-cut editor, for making it look so beautiful!
REPRESENT's IndieGoGo campaign has ended! We raised over $1,500 thanks to your generosity! Thank you SO MUCH for your support!!!
We are one week away from our first day of filming, and these ladies are ready to ROCK AND ROLL! We can't wait to share it with you!
We have reached $1,000 on our IndieGoGo campaign!! This is AMAZING and we couldn't have done it without every one of our contributors!
To celebrate, we released a teaser video made up of the cast's audition tapes! Watch below to see pieces of REPRESENT! And click here to access a secret, celebratory perk!
After an incredible casting process, the production team is so excited to finally announce the main cast of REPRESENT! Below you'll see one of REPRESENT's supporting characters, fictional YouTube star Percy Cranston (played by Connor Tracy), introduce the five actresses and actors playing the main roles in the series!
And trust - they are AMAZING. We've got everything - a Stranger Things alum, Patrick Wilson's secretary, an actual drag queen (that would be Connor). Check it out below! And click here to support REPRESENT!
