A New Year's Message from Creator Emily Ann Scott

Happy New Year, Representers! (That's a terrible name for y'all - any ideas for a new one?)

I am so beyond excited about 2020 for so many reasons. Every year, I try to choose a word to focus on and use as a guiding light throughout the year. This year, I chose "receive". I have had a lot of trouble with this word in my life. First of all, it's the only word in my vocabulary that I still have difficulty spelling occasionally. But mostly, as a lifelong over-achiever, I rarely feel like I'm doing enough. I tend to focus on pushing myself to produce, on waving away compliments, opportunities, and accomplishments.

But this year is going to be different. It's my first full year in LA, and I'm ready to receive opportunities, inspiration, money, love, happiness, and all other good things that come my way, and I hope you are too! Because I have something for you to receive RIGHT NOW: REPRESENT IS COMING OUT THIS YEAR!

We have finally just about finished our amazing film festival run and REPRESENT is coming to your screens in 2020! Specifically, the first three episodes will be available March 27 - the last #FemaleFilmmakerFriday of Women's History Month! I'm so excited to finally release something that so many of my best friends worked so hard on. To keep track of all the updates, follow us at @representwebseries on Instagram!

Congrats on making it through another year! It was hard, but you did it. And now, our year of receiving has begun! Thanks for keeping up with our little series, and I hope you receive everything you deserve in 2020!
